The mysterious door next door certainly represents the end of one’s own world and the beginning of a mysterious, perhaps even a frightening one.
In this sense, the door next door is a symbol for the foreign and alien and all the feelings and impressions aroused by it.
However, next door also stands for the charming neighbour that you always see taking his dog for a walk and who one day reveals himself to be a talented harmonica player; or for the friendly girl from upstairs that you hear studiously practicing the violin every day; or for an old schoolmate that you run-in to by coincidence at the railway station with an accordion in tow.
Next door thus stands for ‘every man’ and is thereby the ultimate proof of the fact that music connects.
‘’Song From Next Door’’ also means that things just might not be so far away and detached as they seem, that if one really wants, everything can be within reach, perhaps even somewhere behind the door next door.

it's me (2011)

' It's me ' is the second album by Geena B.
It is written, composed, arranged and performed entirely by Geena b. and a. rufus.
Recording was made in the studios of ' vonStuybergRecords ', which is nothing more than a small studio created by both of them with a name that sounds good and hides in itself a personal secret.
Obviously photos, graphics and other creative works for this album are homemade. This is to focus on one point: independent & alternative are not only a style of music, but also a philosophy of life.
